# How to Order Dual-Option Gifts with Gift Card+ and GiftYouPick
A dual-option gift lets your recipients choose between a gift card from the Gift Card+ catalog or a tangible gift from GiftYouPick, all from a single gift code. This guide shows you how to start the right type of order and turn on gift card catalog access using any of the three ways to add recipients.
### Start with a GiftYouPick order
The order type you choose determines whether the dual option is available, so this first step matters.
1. Log in to the Corporate Traditions portal. You will land on the **Dashboard**.
2. Click the **Orders** tab.
3. Click **New** to start a new order.
4. For the program, select **GiftYouPick**. Dual-option gifts must be created through a GiftYouPick order, not a Gift Card+ order.
5. Click **Create**.
### Enable gift card catalog access
In **Section 2** of the order form, click **Add recipient**. You will see three ways to add gifts, and each one has its own way to turn on the dual option.
**Option 1: Upload a spreadsheet**
1. Download the spreadsheet template from the upload screen.
2. Fill in your recipients.
3. In **column M**, labeled **Enable gift card catalog access**, enter **Yes** for every recipient who should get the dual option.
4. Upload the completed spreadsheet.
**Option 2: Add recipients one at a time**
1. Fill in the recipient’s details.
2. Open the **More options** toggle at the bottom of the form.
3. Scroll past the other gift options to **Gift card catalog access** and switch it to **True**.
4. Add the recipient.
**Option 3: Add multiple recipients (PDF)**
1. Enter the quantity and value of the certificates.
2. Open the **More options** toggle.
3. At the bottom, switch **Gift card catalog access** to **True**.
4. Click **Add recipients**.
### Confirm the gifts are dual option
Once your gifts are added, they appear in the list in Section 2. Look for the column labeled **Gift Card+ access**. Each gift with the dual option enabled shows a **green check mark** in this column. If a gift is missing the check mark, edit it and turn on gift card catalog access before you submit.
From there, finish the order as you normally would and submit. Recipients who open their gift will be able to browse both the tangible gift options and the gift card catalog and choose whichever they prefer.
### Tips for dual-option orders
- If you want every gift in an order to be dual option, the spreadsheet upload is the fastest route. Fill column M down the whole list before uploading.
- You can mix dual-option and GiftYouPick-only gifts in the same order. Just set the toggle per recipient.
- Scan the Gift Card+ access column before submitting. It is the quickest way to catch a recipient you forgot to toggle.
