# How to Resend a Gift Email
If an employee didn't receive their gift email, deleted it, or you sent it to the wrong address, you can resend it directly from your order history. Before resending, you also have the option to update the recipient's email address or gift message.
## Find the order
1. From the portal dashboard, go to the **Orders** tab in the middle.
2. Your full order history appears. The **Created by** column shows who placed the order and the date it was placed, and the order reference number appears on the left.
3. Click into the order containing the gift you want to resend.
## Resend the email as-is
1. Locate the gift in the list.
2. Click the **three-dot menu** at the end of that row.
3. Click **Resend email**.
## Edit the gift, then resend
Use this if the email address was wrong or the gift message needs to change.
1. Click the **three-dot menu** at the end of the gift's row and choose **Edit**.
2. Update the email address, the gift message, or any other detail you need to change.
3. Click **Submit**.
4. A confirmation message appears to let you know the changes were saved.
5. Return to the three-dot menu and click **Resend email**.
## Understanding the email status
- **Sent** — the email has been queued and is on its way to the recipient.
- **Delivered** — the email has arrived in the recipient's inbox.
After you resend, the status changes to Sent and then updates to Delivered once it reaches the recipient.
Tips
- There's no limit on resends — you can resend a gift email as many times as needed.
- The three-dot menu also lets you download the PDF gift certificate, which is useful if the recipient would rather have the certificate as an attachment or printout.
- If the status stays at **Sent** for an extended period, or repeated sends never reach **Delivered**, the recipient's email server or spam filters may be blocking the message. Ask the recipient to check their spam or junk folder. If the issue persists, [contact our support team](https://www.corporatetraditions.com/contact) and we'll investigate.
